High Art Health & Safety Policy: COVID-19
Dear Our Adams District Community & Valued High Art Clients.
We are thrilled to announce that High Art Tattoo is now OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
We love being a part of The Adams District and we love our clients. Please know that our strict policy is because we believe that the Health & Safety of you & your families, as well as us & our families is the most important thing to us.
This is a Queer Women of Color owned Small Business. We believe that BLACK LIVES MATTER. We always have and we always will. High Art Tattoo was created to provide a safe space for everyone, but particularly QBIPOC.
How will High Art Tattoo will be keeping us all as safe as possible?
We are now APPOINTMENT ONLY. This includes our consultations which remain free. This just means that an email to higharttattoo@gmail.com or by calling us at: 323-641-7234.
When you arrive for your appointment or consultation you must be unaccompanied. No friends or family members will be admitted into your appointment. This is for everyones safety. There will be a maximum of 3 people in the facility at any one time. This includes you (the client), your tattoo artist, & our Piercer. This ensures that we can maintain AT LEAST a six foot separation between individuals, except of course while you're actually getting tattooed or pierced!
Tattoo artists & Piercers are all trained in Blood Borne Pathogen Procedure. This means that we have a comprehensive understanding of how Viruses & Bacteria are transmitted between people, as well Cross-Contamination from surface to surface in any room or workspace.
You can be confident that High Art Tattoo is always:
Thoroughly cleaned with medical-grade supplies both immediately before & after each appointment. This includes all surfaces, door handles, faucet taps, chairs etc.
You will not be admitted into the facility without wearing a face mask that covers both your nose & mouth. Your artist will also be wearing a face mask your entire appointment.
Upon entering High Art Tattoo you will immediately be asked to wash your hands. You will then be given hand sanitizer & asked to wipe down your cell phone. (the item most often in contact with surfaces, our hands & our faces).
What you can do to help stay healthy:
- Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands that are visibly soiled.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Practice good respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home if sick.
- Recognize personal risk factors. According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), certain people, including older adults and those with underlying conditions such as heart or lung disease or diabetes, are at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19.
